"Naked Ambition" is the 75th episode in the FOX animated television series King of the Hill and is the 15th episode of the fourth season. PlotAfter a day at the river, Bobby accidentally sees Luanne naked when he walks in on her in the public showers. Highly upset, he tells Joseph Gribble who becomes obsessed with seeing Luanne naked himself. Meanwhile, Boomhauer falls asleep while tubing and floats to Houston, not waking up until the next morning sunburned, in just a tiger print bikini in a sewer. He crawls out of the sewer, getting covered with slime and sewage, and stumbles around until he is taken by police to a mental health hospital and involuntary committed for a 72-hour observation period. Back in Arlen Joseph begins spending more and more time at the Hill's, fawning over Luanne hoping for an opportunity to see her naked. When Bobby sees Joseph staring through Luanne's bathroom with a pair of binoculars, he goes outside to confront his friend, only to be caught by Connie who assumes the boys were trying to spy on her. Assuming Bobby to be a "pervert" she breaks up with him. At the mental hospital, Boomhauer calls Dale Gribble and after making him promise not to tell Hank, asks him to help him escape. Dale trades clothes with a patient at the hospital, but is assumed to be a patient and suffers de facto involuntary confinement. Boomhauer and Dale then turn to Bill and likewise make him promise not to tell Hank before seeking his assistance to help them out. While waiting to speak to an administrator, Bill reads a pamphlet on depression and voluntarily admits himself to the hospital. Boomhauer devises a plan of escape by hiding out in a laundry cart. Bill, however, divulges the plan in a group therapy situation and the three are sedated. Before blacking out, Dale tells the others that whoever is the first to regain consciousness should call Hank. In Arlen, Bobby reconciles with Connie, and the two decide to see each other naked. Bobby takes off his shirt but they are caught by Kahn while only Connie's belly button is visible. When Hank learns his three friends are at the mental hospital, he quickly gets them discharged. (Boomhauer's observation period was over, Dale was never admitted, and Bill who was there voluntarily was always free to leave at any time). Quotes
ContinuityWhen the Hills are eating breakfast, the kitchen clock shows the time as being 8:05. In the next frame, a few seconds later, it shows the time as being 10:05.
