Terence Yin (Chinese: 尹子維; pinyin: Yin Ziwei) (born May 19, 1975 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong film actor. Raised in Los Angeles, California, he attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating in 1997. He is the son of top 60's-70's Shaw Brothers Studios actress Jenny Hu and director Kang Wei, also a younger brother of Yin Ziyang.
Terence made his film debut in Yonfan's 1998 film Bishonen opposite Daniel Wu, one of his close friends and frequent collaborators. Terence has also released a solo album in Taiwan in 1999 titled Undecided, which met with limited success. He did not return to singing until 2005.
In 2005, Terence, along with Daniel Wu, Conroy Chan, and Andrew Lin formed a boyband experiment named Alive.
Terence is currently a partner in the online social network Alivenotdead.com [1] along with his Alive bandmates and the former founders of the movie web site Rotten Tomatoes. The web site, originally created to support the movie The Heavenly Kings and his band Alive, was relaunched in April 2007 as an online community supporting artists worldwide [2].
